Citrus Comic Oddities by Collon28 Citrus Comic Oddities by Collon28
Let me get the technical aspect out of the way. I don't know if this is a trend I will uphold, but when making a comic of this caliber, one has a way with cutting corners. Me, I don't want people focusing on where things take place, but rather the characters in question. Now that I think about it, there was a time when backgrounds were even simpler than this, with shapes blending into each other instead of oversized legos standing in for buildings. I'll keep that in mind for the future.

Now to the "story" of the comic. The guy in question is Burn Gray [link] from my Fellow Cartoonist's comic Shade of Gray (terrific title I do say) [link] featured here on Deviant Art. This is my little way of contributing fan art while at the same time getting content to fill in for the weekly update. Here's a semi-formal invite to check out her comic which is coming around nicely. Do enjoy both comics.

Also to note, apologies to Miss Rose for Burn's anatomy. I noticed as I inked him that he looks a little stiff. I could argue he IS in fact a robot, but I know she would correct me immediately, saying "CYBORG!" which is of course correct. And I know now he wears boots, not gray booties like they wear at hospitals. Maybe his standard footwear is at the cleaners.

Of course, Burn Gray is the intellectual property of :icongray-rose:

Sorry to take so long commenting on this, I wanted to give all the links proper lookings-into. Cute stuff. I think you pulled off the character nicely :) The thought bubbles are a little weird but I was actually not troubled at all by the backgrounds. (Just me I guess, of course we all know *my* love of backgrounds. NOT!)

With the bubbles, you probably can see it, but I used the standard oval, then added a bunch of smaller ovals. I don't know if I pulled the effect off well enough, but it gets the job done.

Thanks a lot. I love Burn's expression in the third panel. And the dialogue is priceless. Thanks a lot :D. However, the title of the comic is Shade of Gray (minus the 's' in shade). Shades of Gray is another copyrighted webcomic.
