Citrus: Conflicting Theories by Collon28 Citrus: Conflicting Theories by Collon28
Like I say on the site: [link] , this is what I get when I have no concrete background set up. I might be thinking "Oh I shouldn't have to worry, the dialogue will carry the comic". Maybe, but the semi-bland setting is all I could come up with with speediness. Hmm; oh well.

Yeah, not the best background you've done, but inventive. Using a lighter grey and purple would likely improve things a little. The dark colors you chose rather clash with the light humor of the dialog.

And the dialog is cute btw :)

Yeah I see what you mean. Some times I know that but I didn't incorporate that fact into this one due to my lack of knowledge what it should be. This comic is another reminder of how the dialogue and colorings need to match with each other.
Unless of course, the clashing of the two was the whole point but I'm doubting that.

of course I'm not saying the art and your characters are not important either, more that each small segment has it's own theme your trying to get across. Enjoy seeing what you come up with every week. Glad your technological problems from vista have been fixed

Just gives you incentive next time to think of something different is all. The whole point of citrus is the dialog any ways so it's not like the background detracts from the humor your trying to get across. I thought this one was good. Of course seeing I haven't seen the new star trek movie little of what was said would make sense to me.

Your response is the EXACT reason why I don't intend to use these kind of jokes often; they rely on the readers' experience with a particular subject. It's a slightly easier route to take but more people will scratch their head in confusion because they didn't watch a movie or read a book. But this was too good to pass up as my Dad can be unintentionally funny at times.
It's funny, I've been told by one person to focus more on the visuals and they're probably right because of supposedly "weak" dialogue. Guess I'm gonna have to strengthen both. :D Thanks again for the comment.
